Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.
Glen Grant
Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by the former blackburners and smugglers John and James Grant.
The brothers were so successful that in 1897 they started building a second distillery.
They also gave her the name Glen Grant (No. 2), which was closed in 1902 and went back to operation in 1965 under the name Caperdonich.
Already at the turn of the century, Glen Grant was bottled as a single malt, making it one of the oldest brands.
Gordon & MacPhail licenses Glen Grant under license, this explains the original label on this bottling.
The 21-year-old is one of the oldest bottlings of this distillery and is qualitatively worlds above the bottlings, which one knows from the supermarket.
