Product information "Mosstowie 1979/2002 Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Ch. 40% vol. 0,7l"
Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.

Mosstowie
Mosstowie is considered a rarity.
This malt comes from the distillery Miltonduff, which was founded in 1824.
As in Glenburgie (1958), two "Lomond stills" were installed here in 1964 (a variant of pot stills in which small malts can be produced by small technical modifications).
In these Lomond stills from 1964 to 1981 the malt was made with the name Mosstowie.
Even then, the malt was rarely sold, and was bottled exclusively by Gordon & MacPhail and Signatory.

Mosstowie is a malty Speyside whiskey, perfect as an aperitif.
