The Ostholsteiner Doppelkorn makes acquaintance with the Bavarian Slyrs whiskey!
For half a year, the double grain stored in a whiskey barrel of the Slyrs distillery, in which previously whiskey matured for over 10 years.
Exclusive edition of only 350 bottles with individual numbering.
A 225l barrique barrel made of American white oak, in which SLYRS Malt Whiskey was stored for about 10 years, was brought to DH Boll in late August 2014 in Lütjenburg and filled with THE OSTHOLSTEINER Doppelkorn.
After half a year of storage, the result is remarkable - The double grain has gained even more mildness through the aging of the barrel, balanced with a discreet wood and whiskey note, in addition to the typical Lusatian and vanilla notes.

Sehr lecker, aber auch durch die Whisky-Faß-Reifung ein Korn, der wohl nur dem entsprechenden Geschmack gefallen dürfte.
Durch die Faß-Reifung kommt der Korn schön zur Geltung, aber auch die Facetten des Whisky sind deutlich dominant!
Insgesamt ein sehr ausgewogener, leicht bekömmlicher Korn - wenngleich der Abgang geschmacklich eher was für den geneigten Gaumen ist.
