A 12-year Port Charlotte from a single former Syrah wine barrel!
One of the first barrels after the reopening of the Bruichladdich distillery in May 2001.
Very balanced combination of smoky and fruity notes.
Aroma: smoky and salty, then light aromas of pepper and sweet red wine
Taste: strong with a lot of smoke - plus an elegant hint of dark chocolate
Finish: very long and smoky on the finish - again the sweet notes of the wine barrel - especially plum, blackberry and gooseberry
