A 41-year-old Glenglassaugh! Ripened in a former Sherry Puncheon barrel from the Massandra winery in Crimea.
Only a handful of barrels, the Scottish distillery Glenglassaugh from the oldest winery in the Crimea, since 1894 exisitert, bought.
Aroma: intense aromas of dried pineapple, bananas and golden sultanas, with hints of ginger and white pepper, candied fruit and a uniquely soft oak character
Taste: fresh lime and green apple and pear, then tropical fruit and a delicate touch reminiscent of a cigar box, gently oily with a great depth
Finish: a very nice combination of classic fruits and warming spice
