"Lemon Zest" 1998/2013 Auchentoshan Single Cask Wemyss Malts 46% vol. 0,7l

A 14-year-old Auchentoshan from a barrel has Wemyss bottled here, a very well-balanced single malt whiskey.

Aroma: lemon meringue cake, very lemony! In addition there are fresh lemon peel and sorbet, confectionery from the confectionery
Taste: full of tingling lemon at the tip of the tongue, then sweet red apples and flowing manuka honey - a perfect aperitif - after adding some water clearly develop notes of strawberries with coated white chocolate
Finish: again the crisp citrus notes with a slight spiciness, to strongly pronounced fruity notes, clearly candied fruits

Single barrel filling - edition of 342 bottles

The Wemyss bottlings rarely reveal the distilleries that make or are part of their blends.
For Wemyss it is more important that the name of the bottling gives an indication of the taste.
