Glen Elgin is one of Scotland's classic Speyside distilleries - a creamy-white single malt whiskey is produced here!
The here filled Hogshead barrel yielded 286 bottles.
Aroma: at the beginning of fruit blossoms such as cherries, oranges and acacia, honey and candied orange
Taste: fruity sweetness, honey again, spicy herbal notes, some heather and fresh ginger - very creamy and velvety
Finish: creamy and sweet, very long and really nice and warm
After adding some water, the flowers turn into an orchard, full of honeycombs, on the palate it becomes even creamier and sweeter. The finish also gets sweeter, creamier and softer.
