Chianti Wine Cask - Finish
After aging for more than 8 years in traditional oak barrels, this malt was transferred to selected Rancia wine barrels for a second maturation for 8 months.
Rancia is a full-bodied wine from the Italian Chianti-Classico Riserva area.
The second ripening in the 225-liter wine barrels gave the whiskey a beautiful red color and a fascinating rich aroma and taste.
Beautiful aromas of wild berries and Italian herbs.
In the taste initially spicy with oak tones, then beautifully balanced fruity notes of cherries and damson plums.
The finish is rich, spicy and complex.
