Product information "Coleburn 1972/2002 Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice 40% vol. 0,7l"
Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.

Coleburn
Built in Speyside in 1897, Coleburn produced the basic malt for the blends of Usher.
Like so many distilleries, this one came into the possession of UDV and this too, like many others, was shut down in 1985.

Since 1992, Coleburn has no license to burn and there are proposals to transform the distillery into residential buildings.
As single malt, coleburn was and is only available from the independent bottlers.

It is a light, well-balanced malt with fruity notes.
