Big Peat Feis Ile 2020: On the road to happiness ...

Attention peat lovers: Douglas Laing has just announced the latest edition of their popular „Big Peat“. The limited bottling for the Islay Whisky Festival Feis Ile 2020 will appear shortly - and is dedicated to a road.

Of course, this is not just any road. It's about the legendary A486. This is the road that stretches from north to south across the Isle of Islay and connects most of the Islay distilleries. From Bunnahabhain, Ardnahoe and Caol Ila near Port Askaig it leads directly through the capital of the island, Bowmore, down to the south coast to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg. A road to pure whisky happiness, on which every Islay and Malt fan had probably already been on the way. Very suitable for a great Blended Malt like Big Peat, which combines the Malt Whiskys of the island.

CEO Chris Leggat is quoted in the press release by Doulas Laing:
A journey along the A846 is a rite of passage for Islay Whiskey lovers, and a road that carries countless memorable moments for many. Whilst Feis Ile - Islay's annual festival - exists in an entirely different “virtual” form this year, we (and Big Peat) wanted to mark the occasion the best way we know how - with a particularly innovative limited edition, featuring a cracking story and spectacular spirit within ”.

The powerful Big Peat "A486 Edition" was bottled at 8 years and 46% and, as usual, without colouring or chill-filtration.

Another tip for all friends of the smoky Big Peat: On facebook.com/bigpeat you now have the chance to win one of 40 tasting packages for a virtual tasting with the Douglas Laing team.
