For the makers of the Lord of Barbès Gin, being a lord is a philosophy of life.
It consists in looking for the extraordinary, in embracing one's own otherness, not in order to distinguish oneself, but for purely hedonistic pleasure.
The Lord of Barbès Gin is for these aesthetes of everyday life - cheers!

Created in 1963 by Hervé Lopez, Lord of Barbès Gin is an artisanal gin distilled at the Distillerie de Bercloux - near Cognac - in a Stupfler copper still.
The Stupfler still makes it possible to obtain very elegant spirits in a single distillation, without having to accept the shortcomings that occur with distilled alcohol produced with other column stills.

Lord of Barbès Gin is a rich, fine, surprisingly smooth and soft gin - despite its alcohol content of 45% vol.

The bottle of Lord of Barbès Gins is meant to be admired - its shape and color make it unique.
In a nod to apothecary bottles, it's kept flat to fit in your pocket - it's made from cobalt blue glass, tinted and enamelled to protect the gin from the sun and leave the labeling permanently untouched.
The true Lord does not throw away the empty bottle of Lord of Barbès Gin, it is a precious object that can be refilled for a lifetime and beyond.

A key ingredient in Lord of Barbès Gin is the fruit of the baobab tree - the fruit has a tangy flavor that appeals to both humans and monkeys, hence the name "monkey bread".
The fruit is skillfully distilled with wheat alcohol, juniper berries, dried mango, ginger, coriander, grains of paradise, nutmeg, angelica and cardamom.

Nose: Pronounced floral aromas - clearly lavender, acacia blossoms and honeysuckle, becoming spicier behind with aromas of cardamom, juniper berries and nutmeg - in the background mango and almond milk
Palate: the juniper berries are clearly evident at the beginning, along with fresh ginger root and the fruity notes of the baobab fruit
Finish: very harmonious in the spicy finish - tones of white flowers, plus some coriander and pepper
