The experts at Gordon & MacPhail publish their bottlings in different collections. Whiskeys from the Connoisseurs Choice range are characterized by low numbers and high demand. Since the start of the series in 1968, the mostly very limited bottlings have usually been made with an alcohol content of 46%vol. or in barrel size and sometimes with a wood finish in the elegant bottles of the traditional company.
Four Cask Strength Single Cask bottlings will appear exclusively for Germany in summer 2021.
The senior of the group is 23-year-old Balblair from 1997 - distilled at the location of the whiskey film "Angels' Share".
The popular fruitiness of the Highlander is combined in the former bourbon Cask with fragrant vanilla and black pepper.
Nose: the scent of vanilla pods goes over to orange zest and white chocolate
Taste: black pepper is the vanguard for green apples and honey
