This 12-year old single malt whisky comes from the Scottish Speyside - more precisely, from the Tamdhu distillery, distilled in March 2007, matured the single malt whisky in a former Sherry Butt, then Douglas Laing filled the Cask in May 2019 to 413 bottles in the Old Particulars series.
Nose: the aroma reminds at the beginning of an open cigar box, to mocha and sweet spices - especially star anise
Taste: soft and mouth-filling with notes in sherry pickled raisins and sultanas
Finish: long finish with hints of ripe golden barley, spicy and lots of dark chocolate
