Product information "The Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Port Finish 46% vol. 0,7l"
An Irish whiskey sweetheart!
Today The Tyrconnell is produced by the Irish distillery Cooley.
The brand belonged to the Irish family AA Watt, whose company name appears proud again on today's bottlings, Cooley has brought the name for this whiskey to life again.
The racehorse pictured on the label is the famous namesake for the whiskey that was once owned by the Watt family.

First, this single malt whistle matures in former bourbon barrels, before it matures for a six-month finish in selected port wine barrels.

Aroma: sweet at first, the influence of the port is clearly visible, then a lot of fruit is added
Taste: intense notes of ripe berries, with some chocolate and spices, some oak in the background
Finish: fruity, again a hint of oak and some malt

Ganz ok

Ganz brauchbarer Whiskey, wenn man auf Port cask / finish steht, aber nichts besonderes. Lebt ein wenig von seinen 46%, Aroma sehr süßlich und Alkohol richt durch. Geschmack süß und fruchtig. Wenig komplex, mittleres Volumen. Als Ire natürlich kein Rauch/Torf.
