A member of the Classic Malts series by UDV (United Distillers and Vintners).
Glenkinchie was founded in 1825 under the name "Milton Distillery" in the Scottish Lowlands.
It bears its current name "Glenkinchie" since 1837.
Besides Auchentoshan, Glenkinchie is the last remaining distillery in the Lowlands.
Glenkinchie's former Malting floors house a whiskey museum today.
Glenkinchie forms the main component in the blends from Haig.
In contrast to the 10-year-old, this malt has been given an additional ripening in an Amontillado barrel, which adds sweetness to the whiskey and, together with the fine spice of the Glenkinchie, results in a wonderful malt.
