Bruichladdich 1986/2006 Dark Sherry Cask No. 494 57% vol. 0,7l
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
Bruichladdich 1986 Fresh Sherry Cask no. 494
This vintage bottling matured for 19 years in a first-fill sherry cask.
The malt is complex and wonderfully balanced.
On the label is a photo of Jim McEwan, taken in the warehouse
