Glenrothes was built in 1879 and merged in 1887 with Bunnahabhain.
Glenrothes is one of the country's most prolific distilleries and delivers whiskey to the likes of Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark.
The malt produced here is perfectly balanced, brilliant and velvety at the same time.
The best barrels are filled by Glenrothes as a vintage single malt.
The in-house quality standards go so far that even waived the bottlings of some vintages to ensure the high standard of this malts.
The vintage is very fruity and has very nice notes of black plum and licorice.
