Glenfarclas is one of Scotland's few independent distilleries.
Founded in 1836 and owned by the Grant family since 1865.
John Grant leads Glenfarclas today in its fifth generation.
Glenfarclas is also one of the few distilleries that have produced almost without interruption since its foundation.
This explains the wide range of different fillings from this house.
This limited-edition cask-strength bottling with a circulation of 318 bottles was stored for 10 years in a First Fill Oloroso sherry cask.
The malt was bottled directly from the barrel from 03.-05.09.2004 at the Cöpenicker Whiskey-Autumn under supervision of George Grant, the junior-boss of Glenfarclas.
The bottles are numbered by hand and personally signed by George Grant.
The malt has a beautiful deep dark amber color, the Oloroso sherry is very pronounced, in addition to notes of ripe berry fruits and light oak tones.
