Our first bottling - together with Murray McDavid!
Special thanks go to Jim McEwan - Master Distiller at Bruichladdich and living whiskey legend - who has specially selected for us a Bruichladdich that will more than do justice to this great distillery.
The result is a limited edition of just 120 bottles (with individual numbering) with a magnificent 1992 Bruichladdich from a Bourbon barrel.
Specially selected by Jim McEwan for Malts and More!
On the back label, we have described the history and location Bruichladdichs in a few words.
The bottles are individually numbered by hand.
The tasting notes of Jim McEwan
Color: autumn gold
Body: medium, with a fresh, syrupy structure
Taste: sweet oak, traces of vanilla and roasted malt, followed by the floral aromas of honeysuckle, primrose and heather.
You can taste apricot, melon and pear with a touch of lemon and honey.
There are also maritime influences reminiscent of sea air and sea water, caused by the maturation of malts near the Atlantic Ocean.
A cozy, spicy, exciting malt, wonderfully tasty with a warm character, as one finds it only in an Islay Malt.
Finish: no long finish, but with a fire in the soul that leaves a glow on the palate long after the glass has been emptied.
A classic young Islay malt!
