Port Ellen 1982/2004 Sherry Butt Douglas Laing 50% vol. 0,2l

Douglas Laing & Co. was founded in 1950 as a blending company.

The core business is still old-fashioned blends - the main markets for Douglas Laing & Co. are Latin America and Asia.

Since this business has been declining since the mid-90s, it has been decided to fill the best malts from its own stock as a single malt.

This resulted in the high quality "The Old Malt Cask" series as well as the "McGibbon's Provenance" series.

Port Ellen "The Old Malt Cask" - Advance Sample

Since 1983, Port Ellen is no longer produced.
The malt of this distillery is one of the largest in Scotland - pithy and peaty, but not quite as heavy as other Islay malts.

This malt is a 21-year-old Port Ellen made from a single sherry butt and bottled in cask strength.
The whiskey is neither cold-filtered nor colored!
